Coconut Oil & Baking Soda Face Wash/Exfoliator/Mask With Essential Oils!!!

Coconut oil and baking soda face wash.
I could never find a good face wash that I like and while pregnant I went face wash free and that was the worst idea ever!!! I broke out so bad my face was horrible.
after having Hix I used a face wash for acne and it cleared up a little but nothing like before, I never had really bad acne but I do get the normal brake outs and there not my friends.
I’ve tried a few natural products found at the store like neutrogena naturals but nothing seemed to work that great so I set out to find recipes to make at home and found this coconut oil *we all know my love for coconut oil*  and baking soda.
I am going to give it a shot and you are coming with me :)

This is completely safe to use and has no nasty stuff inside, After a few google searches this mix has an amazing effect on scars, acne, redness, excess dirt and oil, and dead skin.
Baking soda: is a home remedy to fight acne, regulates the pH of the skin and helps to heal brake outs.
Coconut oil: Healing, moisturizer and antibacterial qualities that beneficially affect the skin while nourishing it..
(Traditional virgin coconut oil will give best results)

Sensitive skin: use the coconut oil and baking soda in a 2:1 ratio.

Exfoliator: use a 1:1 ratio.

Instructions:

  1. Mix together the coconut oil and baking soda. A little warm water will help the mixing process if your coconut oil is solid.
  2. I added 2 drops of Lemon and 2 drops of frankincense essential oils. * Lemon is good for acne and frankincense is good for oily skin and scarring*
  3. Apply to your face. Massage into you skin gently in circular motions, then wash it off with warm water.
OR
you can use this as a mask and leave it on for a few minutes.

Now Follow me as I try it!!!

My first impression is it's ok not the best but I can make it work.
I think I may have added too much coconut oil and not enough baking soda (it's ok ill add more baking soda the next time i make it) but the added essential oils made it very nice, It did take my makeup off and make my skin soft as butter its defiantly something I'l keep trying to perfect.

Here are the Oils I added

 All Mixed up

 Before Skin.....

After...... It took all my make up off <3 yay

What I had left over a little goes a long way. I am going to add more baking soda to this mix next time I use it

Tell me what you think!!
Will you make something like this? what essential oils will you put in?
tag me and let me know..
until next time <3

My Everyday Makeup!!!

Everyday Makeup

I always get asked what kind of makeup I use because it looks natural.some days I like to wear more makeup then normal, for special dates or parties I prefer a full face of makeup. As for everyday quick makeup I use the same thing.(I do not wear makeup everyday, when I say everyday I mean I have to go to safeway, costco and the pet store and I want to look like I got a full nights sleep)

start off I wash off my face then start with a primer, rubbing it into my face with my fingers.

for foundation I’ve been liking the Too Faced Born this way foundation.

I apply on the back of my hand and then dot it all over my face and take a real techniques miracle complexion sponge and blend it out.

for concealer I have been loving the NYX HD Photogenic concealer.

Under the eyes, side of nose, chin and problem areas and blend it out using the same Real Techniques blender.

then I set my whole face with Rimmel stay matte pressed powder in transparent.

with the beauty blender I go over and press the powder in where I applied concealer then go over my whole face with a face brush.

then to get a little color in my face i go in to contour with Too faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer.
i apply how you would normally contour.

at this time I apply a blush, I have way too many to list so just pick your favorite one.

Now a lot of people don’t do this but I personally like doing my eyebrows.

and I am DONE!! yay that is my “everyday” makeup
I hope you enjoyed this!!

Since today if Friday i’ll be posting my 2 week check up of invisalign  tonight. two weeks down a bunch more to go!!!!

oh hello dōTERRA

Welcome back to my blog guys!
Since becoming gluten free I have noticed that we use a lot of chemicals daily without even knowing it, since having a baby and wanting whats best for him I personally have been trying to eliminate as much of it as possible.
over these few months (starting around oct hixson’s first birthday) I got introduced to dōTERRA essential oils but I had no clue how to use them or anything (the party I went to the lady wasn’t that great in explaining anything) and they are expensive so I did what any newbie (who didn’t google anything about EO and knew exactly nothing about EO) would do I went out and bought a few cheap bottles of EO, they were crap and I didn’t believe they worked, after that I started wanting to make me own lotions and skin care. My skin was ALWAYS braking out so i stopped wearing as much makeup and rarely wore makeup. I use coconut Oil for EVERYTHING and i wanted to get into real EO so a few months later A friend of mine invited me to a dōTERRA make and take workshop I was skeptical on if it would work or not but I tried and made a bunch of roller ball blends, After using them for a couple days straight i was hooked, I wanted all the roller balls blends. I started to look into buying my own kit so I could have it all at my fingers when i wanted and thats exactly what I did…
Today i am still waiting for my kit but i use EO everyday for anything and everything its one of the best things I’ve ever done for me and my family.

thats all for now I have too much on my mind to type straight lol

Invisalign!!!

I AM GETTING INVISALIGN!!!
Yes I'm 22 years old and getting "braces" and I'm so excited...
I have hated my smile since long before I can remember, actually it was when my adult teeth came in I HATED my two front teeth (yes I know all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth) because they were huge and took up my whole mouth
Then my bottom teeth decided they wanted to grow in all crooked.
When I was younger my mother talked to our family dentist about getting me old fashion braces (I really wish I did) but I was scared and didn't go through with it, I went on just not smiling a real smile because I was made fun of for having "ugly" teeth, but shortly after I quit caring what people thought along came BOYS!!!
I was/am so self conscious about my smile I didn't want anyone to see my teeth. One time we went on a cruise and my mom was mad at me 90% of the time because I came up with what she calls "the joker smile" and used it in every picture, you could see I had teeth but not all of them. (I'm sorry mom)
Once Invisalign came out I wanted them so bad yet a lot of people talked me out of it because of the pain but I still thought long and hard about it for several years.
Along the road came marriage and a baby and I realized I have a very high pain tolerance I got this in the bag!!
After getting dental insurance and meeting the greatest dentist I decided (with a lot of help from my husband) I'm going to do it.
I made the consultation appointment and got so much information about it so I made the first appointment for my impressions that was such a cool experience yet discussing next appointment (Friday) I will be getting my first trays!!
After watching countless YouTube videos on other peoples journey I got so ready. I feel like I'm prepared but at the same time I am very nervous, being a new mom I can barely brush my teeth once a day let alone after I eat or drink anything other than water but I'm still excited and ready for this!!!

❤️Lisa
I'll post next with before pictures!!!!

Happy 2016!!!!!

The next few blog post will be somethings just random things like my favorite makeup, mommy things and random life stuff like questionnaires and possibly trying for baby#2 (don't worry that won't be for at least another year or 2 years I'm enjoying my toddler right now).

As you may know I have 2 blogs my mommy/kid blog (watching my son grow) and my personal blog and I'm hoping to get both back to running conditions. I will be posting about Hixson's first birthday soon.

Just an update on us!! I'm currently a stay at home mommy studying to finish my GED(yes I haven't got it yet because I had a baby and personally he's more important than school) I want to go to cosmetology school but at the same time I'd rather be a stay at home mom the rest of my life!
Hixson is 14 months old and 25lbs he is getting so big it's nuts. He walks and starting to talk and he eats everything you give him and like his mommy he loves cookies and waffles. He still is nursing and loves it he loves to be outside and dances he's so full of life and energy I'm so lucky to be his mommy or as he calls me mama!!
That's our update for now.
Keep a look out for my favorites blog post of mommy and makeup/hair things.
That's all xoxo Lisa

August Favorites.

                         August Favorites

This is my first time doing a monthly favorites on a blog.
The category's are Makeup,Hair,random...

Makeup

1) Real Techniques brushes - I got the starter kit and a few face brushes for my birthday and I love them, they are very soft and don't shed like my last ones and they also blend very well.

2) CK one Foundation- *100 (Porcelain)* I also got this for my birthday because I ran out of my regular foundation while I was on my birthday getaway, I always wanted to try it but never bought it until now and I'm glad I did, so far I love it, It's not as much of a full coverage as I normally like but you can build it up on areas you need extra coverage, Plus it is great for my pregnant oily skin.

3) CK one mascara- I got this for free from Ulta for my birthday and have been using it almost every day since, I will most likely repurchase this when it runs out

4) Benefit They're real mascara- Yes another mascara but I did buy this in augest and I LOVE it, on days I don't use the ck one color mascara I use this one, my eyelashes have never looked so good, I'm one of the lucky ones that don't really need fake lashes because my eyelashes are very long and this mascara really helps.

5) Tarte Amazonian clay Blush- *fearless* I've been looking for a new blush and found this AMAZING blush (HAHA) it is very pigmented, goes on nicely and blends good, I'll very much like buying more of other colors.

6) NYX matte lip cream- *milan* I'm not into lip products and tried out the NYX lip cream and LOVE it, I love that it is matte and it stays on for a very long time, I'm not the type of person to reapply lipstick because I just forget to but with this I don't have to so it is a winner for me :)

Hair

1) Macadamia Natural Oil deep repair masque- I LOOOVVEE this stuff, it makes my hair feel sooo nice and healthy with all the bleaching I use to do it helps basically not fall out hehe

2) Macadamia Natural Oil- I use this almost every day on damaged parts of my hair and to me I think it has helped a lot, I love the way it smells and feels in my hair, this is an oil i'll buy over and over and over again.

Random

1) Animal Crossing New leaf- I got this a while ago but got re addicted to it in august worst then when I first got it, it is a great game and great to take your mind off things for a few the fishing is my all time favorite in the game and meeting new people that come into your town.

That's all for now

Thank you for reading, Leave one of your favorites from august in the comments below so I can try out more makeup and things and maybe even review them :)
