Natural Nail Stain Remover!!

If you are like me and love your nails painted but hate when you take off your pretty blue or pretty red and now your nails have stains on them and you can’t get them off with nail polish remover this is for you!

Last night I took off my blue nail polish and couldn’t get it all the way off and my nails were stained a weird blue/purple color, I tried to wash my hands and file my nails but it didn’t work so well *plus the tips of my nails were slightly yellow*
I turned to my lovely friend google and then amazon and was seconds away from ordering a nail bleaching kit but then thought I should have something at home that would work just has best, set back to google i found a few recipes with baking soda and lemon or baking soda and peroxide.
I didn’t have anymore lemon juice on hand so I used the peroxide and baking soda there really wasn’t a recipe or anything so I just eyed it

I used a 1:1 ratio  and just made a paste, then I added one drop Frankincense and one drop lemon essential oil.
I put the paste on my nails for a few minutes *I didn’t track the time because I was watching TV* after a few minutes i rubbing it into the nail then I washed it off with warm water and some nails still had a purple tint to them but it buffed right off.
I will defiantly use this again!!

Here are some pictures..

thats all for now!

Coconut Oil & Baking Soda Face Wash/Exfoliator/Mask With Essential Oils!!!

Coconut oil and baking soda face wash.
I could never find a good face wash that I like and while pregnant I went face wash free and that was the worst idea ever!!! I broke out so bad my face was horrible.
after having Hix I used a face wash for acne and it cleared up a little but nothing like before, I never had really bad acne but I do get the normal brake outs and there not my friends.
I’ve tried a few natural products found at the store like neutrogena naturals but nothing seemed to work that great so I set out to find recipes to make at home and found this coconut oil *we all know my love for coconut oil*  and baking soda.
I am going to give it a shot and you are coming with me :)

This is completely safe to use and has no nasty stuff inside, After a few google searches this mix has an amazing effect on scars, acne, redness, excess dirt and oil, and dead skin.
Baking soda: is a home remedy to fight acne, regulates the pH of the skin and helps to heal brake outs.
Coconut oil: Healing, moisturizer and antibacterial qualities that beneficially affect the skin while nourishing it..
(Traditional virgin coconut oil will give best results)

Sensitive skin: use the coconut oil and baking soda in a 2:1 ratio.

Exfoliator: use a 1:1 ratio.

Instructions:

  1. Mix together the coconut oil and baking soda. A little warm water will help the mixing process if your coconut oil is solid.
  2. I added 2 drops of Lemon and 2 drops of frankincense essential oils. * Lemon is good for acne and frankincense is good for oily skin and scarring*
  3. Apply to your face. Massage into you skin gently in circular motions, then wash it off with warm water.
OR
you can use this as a mask and leave it on for a few minutes.

Now Follow me as I try it!!!

My first impression is it's ok not the best but I can make it work.
I think I may have added too much coconut oil and not enough baking soda (it's ok ill add more baking soda the next time i make it) but the added essential oils made it very nice, It did take my makeup off and make my skin soft as butter its defiantly something I'l keep trying to perfect.

Here are the Oils I added

 All Mixed up

 Before Skin.....

After...... It took all my make up off <3 yay

What I had left over a little goes a long way. I am going to add more baking soda to this mix next time I use it

Tell me what you think!!
Will you make something like this? what essential oils will you put in?
tag me and let me know..
until next time <3

My Everyday Makeup!!!

Everyday Makeup

I always get asked what kind of makeup I use because it looks natural.some days I like to wear more makeup then normal, for special dates or parties I prefer a full face of makeup. As for everyday quick makeup I use the same thing.(I do not wear makeup everyday, when I say everyday I mean I have to go to safeway, costco and the pet store and I want to look like I got a full nights sleep)

start off I wash off my face then start with a primer, rubbing it into my face with my fingers.

for foundation I’ve been liking the Too Faced Born this way foundation.

I apply on the back of my hand and then dot it all over my face and take a real techniques miracle complexion sponge and blend it out.

for concealer I have been loving the NYX HD Photogenic concealer.

Under the eyes, side of nose, chin and problem areas and blend it out using the same Real Techniques blender.

then I set my whole face with Rimmel stay matte pressed powder in transparent.

with the beauty blender I go over and press the powder in where I applied concealer then go over my whole face with a face brush.

then to get a little color in my face i go in to contour with Too faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer.
i apply how you would normally contour.

at this time I apply a blush, I have way too many to list so just pick your favorite one.

Now a lot of people don’t do this but I personally like doing my eyebrows.

and I am DONE!! yay that is my “everyday” makeup
I hope you enjoyed this!!

Since today if Friday i’ll be posting my 2 week check up of invisalign  tonight. two weeks down a bunch more to go!!!!

oh hello dōTERRA

Welcome back to my blog guys!
Since becoming gluten free I have noticed that we use a lot of chemicals daily without even knowing it, since having a baby and wanting whats best for him I personally have been trying to eliminate as much of it as possible.
over these few months (starting around oct hixson’s first birthday) I got introduced to dōTERRA essential oils but I had no clue how to use them or anything (the party I went to the lady wasn’t that great in explaining anything) and they are expensive so I did what any newbie (who didn’t google anything about EO and knew exactly nothing about EO) would do I went out and bought a few cheap bottles of EO, they were crap and I didn’t believe they worked, after that I started wanting to make me own lotions and skin care. My skin was ALWAYS braking out so i stopped wearing as much makeup and rarely wore makeup. I use coconut Oil for EVERYTHING and i wanted to get into real EO so a few months later A friend of mine invited me to a dōTERRA make and take workshop I was skeptical on if it would work or not but I tried and made a bunch of roller ball blends, After using them for a couple days straight i was hooked, I wanted all the roller balls blends. I started to look into buying my own kit so I could have it all at my fingers when i wanted and thats exactly what I did…
Today i am still waiting for my kit but i use EO everyday for anything and everything its one of the best things I’ve ever done for me and my family.

thats all for now I have too much on my mind to type straight lol
